Sacred Heart Church Foodbank Receives Support from the John Nodes Funeral Service Community Fund

We’re delighted to share that Sacred Heart Church in Kilburn has received funding through Cycle 1 of the John Nodes Funeral Service Community Fund to support its much-valued foodbank project.

The church’s foodbank provides vital assistance to individuals and families within the local community, helping to ensure those experiencing hardship can access essential food and household items. Through the dedication of staff and volunteers, the initiative continues to be a lifeline for many people in the area.

To mark the award, a cheque presentation took place during Sunday Mass in front of the congregation. The occasion provided an opportunity to recognise the tremendous contribution made by the church and its volunteers, as well as the positive impact the foodbank has on local residents.

At John Nodes Funeral Service, we are proud to support community organisations that make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Through our Community Fund, we aim to help local groups, charities and organisations continue delivering valuable services and support where it is needed most.

We would like to thank everyone at Sacred Heart Church for their ongoing commitment to serving the community and for the important work they do every day.

Applications for the final cycle of the John Nodes Funeral Service Community Fund have now closed, and we look forward to announcing the successful recipients soon. Keep an eye on our website and social media channels for further updates.
